Development on other projects has included a workshop of Regretting Almost Everything with Jason SweetTooth Williams and Blair Goldberg (Spring 2022), as well as a reading of The Middle Ages, a new play co-written with Jesse Gage, with Alet Taylor, Andy Taylor, Williams and Lauren Marcus (July 2022).

Concerts! Lauren and Danny were featured in New Songs From Your Favorite Movies at Feinstein’s/54 Below, with a song inspired by When Harry Met Sally. Produced by Jen Sandler and Ben Caplan (November 2021).

Lauren contributed a new song, “You Get the Call,” for the Women of the Wings Vol. 3 concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below in September 2021. Written from the perspective of Lois Lane as Clark Kent’s long-suffering wife, the song can be heard here (performed by Belén Moyano).

Lauren’s work with William Finn continued: she assisted him in their third 10-week master class on lyric writing in March 2021, and co-produced a culminating concert with writer Pearl Rhein at the Music Room of Dramatists Guild Foundation.

Lauren also produced a first reading of the new William Finn-Danny Ursetti song cycle, Once Every Hundred Years, in the Rotunda in Billsville in August 2021. The reading featured Jeff Blumenkrantz, Stephen DeRosa and Zach Piser.

In April 2020, Lauren and Danny were to present a concert as part of the Broadway’s Future Songbook Series at Lincoln Center before COVID-19 shut the theaters down. Instead, to mark the occasion, they released a music video for the song “Built For Joy,” which would have been performed at the concert. The video was later featured in a Carnegie Hall Songbook program.

Lauren was awarded a 2020 MacDowell Fellowship! One of the nation’s leading contemporary arts organizations, MacDowell provides an average value of more than $10,000 to its fellows, as well as up to eight weeks of residency time to develop a project.
